meaning Ropes :
made of short fiber spun into yarn, which made into flat or twisted strand.
these strand are then twisted or branded to make the finished rope. the final stage of the construction of a rope, together with the material the rope is made from will determine the texture, flexibility, strech and durability of the rope, as well as the way it is used to tie knots.
three strand (laid) rope :
- type of rope commonly use for recreational climbing and rescue
- have a tightly braided sheath (mantle) around twisted parallel core (kern)
- very suitable for applications where a high level of safety
